Reveal is a scientific study designed to assess spiritual growth and determine if the things that churches
do to help their members grow spiritually are having a real impact. We can measure things like membership and
attendance, but these measures don’t really tell us whether or not someone is growing spiritually to become
more like Christ. Although it is very difficult to quantify the concept of spiritual growth, the definition on which
the survey questions are based comes from Matthew 22:37-39 defining spiritual growth as ‘an increasing love
for God and for other people.’ Reveal was created to help pastors and church leaders to live out their callings—
to help their people grow closer to God and to others. The survey will help our church better understand how
the congregation is growing spiritually and how church leadership can serve members better. There are many
levels of spiritual growth and not everyone needs the same things from the church.

Q: What is Reveal?

A: The survey is anonymous. Grace’s leadership is committed to crafting a strategic plan based on the information gained to help people get where they want to be spiritually.
