So.
You've visited Grace. You've liked what you've seen, the people you've met, and the ideas
you've heard. Now what?
We urge you to become a member of
Grace Presbyterian Church. We offer a membership class designed to
give you more information about the church and its members, allow the church community to
meet you, and answer any questions or concerns you may have. The
class is offered three times a year and is
led by the pastor of member involvement, Laura McFall, as well as members of the staff and session of the church.
Class discussions include the mission
and vision of the
church, the structure and governance, and the core values (Worship,
Service, Evangelism, Discipleship and Caring Community) on which we base our church.
Prior to joining the church you will meet with the
elders of the church to confirm your intent to become a member of our community.
Following this, often on the same Sunday, the congregation will welcome you into
membership during one of the morning worship services.
As a new member we urge you to enroll in one of the Spiritual
Gifts Discovery (Network)
classes that are offered throughout the year. Network is
designed to identify your spiritual gifts and to suggest ways in which you can
develop your personal ministry in ways that fit your passion, your gifts and your personal style. In
addition, we urge you to join one of the small groups of the church which aim to build
community among their members through study, prayer and fellowship.
If you are interested in becoming a member, or simply desire more information, please
contact any member of the church staff after the service. You can contact them by phone at
(316) 684-5215 or e-mail. |
